North Alabama’s Haunted Lester Haunted Hospital

The Lester Haunted Hospital is one of North Alabama’s scariest haunted houses, terrifying guests since 2010. Operated by the Scare 4 Charity organization, our attraction occupies the former D.E. Jackson Memorial Hospital, a real medical facility that first opened in the 1940s to serve Lester and surrounding communities. After closing in the 1990s, the building sat vacant until we transformed it into the haunted attraction it is today.

Many fans still remember our previous home at GoodSprings Haunted House, which ran for 27 years. With more than 40 years of combined scare experience, our team delivers a frighteningly fun night packed with screams, surprises, and unforgettable Halloween thrills. We have the right to refuse service to anyone.
You should not enter this attraction if you have the following conditions: asthma, heart conditions, epilepsy, physical ailments, are pregnant, or are claustrophobic.
Do not enter if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You will not be allowed to enter if any of these conditions are recognized by our staff.
All ages are welcome but children under the age of 13 must have a guardian present to enter the haunted attraction.
No food or drinks permitted inside the attraction.
Do not touch our actors.
No smoking, vaping, or open flames.
No running or rough play allowed.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
No photos or videos permitted while inside the attraction without prior approval from the staff.
You may be removed from the attraction without refund for any misconduct, or failure to follow the house rules.

Do I have to sign a waiver?

Yes, all guests will be asked to sign a waiver prior to entry.

Where do I park?

Parking is located in the field on the left hand side of our driveway after you pull into our entrance. Please do not block our neighbors' driveways, park on the street, park at town hall, or in the employee parking lot. You will be asked to move.

Is there somewhere to purchase food or drinks?

Yes. We have snacks and drinks for purchase (cash only). We also have food trucks on the premises most nights. Check our facebook page to see what food trucks will be there!

I took fright night photos, what now?

What should I wear?

We recommend not wearing your best clothes or shoes. This is a high traffic haunted house and we wouldn’t want you to dirty up your new digs.

Your location is remote, will I have cell phone service?

Maybe. Most carriers get some service on the outside of the house, but some get none at all.

Where are the bathrooms located?

There are porta-johns located on the front side of the building.

How can I volunteer to work at the haunt?

Contact us through our facebook page or instagram. You must be 18 years or older to volunteer. We will conduct an interview if we are accepting new actors at the time.
